For as long I can remember, I’ve had a burning passion for mathematics. Born and raised as a ‘country’ girl in St. Ann, Jamaica, I had the opportunity of helping my grandfather in his shop within the community from I had to stand on a stool to see the customers over the shop counter. This life of always calculating and quick thinking sparked my love for mathematics and physics and so with each day that passes I try my best to retain everything I’ve learnt in order to pass is down to others.

This love and passion for mathematics, physics and also critical thinking has set me on the path of studying for a BEng. in Mechatronics Engineering at the Caribbean Maritime University. I attended the Westwood High school and so I really had to have strong love for physics and mathematics to have decided to do engineering as being an all girls institution, it, in very few ways, fueled my passion to want to set out on the journey of being a world renowned engineer.

In my spare time I do graphic designing, website development and content creation. These are new hobbies that I picked during the pandemic as a result of boredom but luckily they were able to land me a very awesome job as a manager and marketing consultant at the company I currently work for, GOFFAH Global. I know you might be thinking that I might have a pretty hectic life as a full-time engineering student, full-time employee at manager level and also a tutor, but I’m happy to break it to you that it’s the complete opposite. I enjoy everything I do and so it feels like I’m getting up everyday to live my best life. I still am a straight A student, a great manager and an even excellent tutor.
