Kimberley Smith
I am currently a 3rd year MBBS student at the University of the West Indies, Mona who has a genuinely caring spirit and a passion for education and for helping others in any way I can. I speak Spanish at the advanced level B2 and I’m currently in the process of improving my fluency to the C1 level.
I have been awarded multiple CAPE Merits for Spanish, the highest ones being: 9th overall in the Caribbean for Spanish Unit 2. and 2nd in Jamaica for Spanish Unit 2.
My tutoring/teaching experience spans a total of 5 years. In 2017 I launched Project Aim and Achieve in which I offered free Math and English classes to children aged 13-18 in my community. I have tutored Spanish to students at the Immaculate Conception High School and have seen my students’ grades drastically improve, and one of my students is now a recipient of CAPE National and Regional Merits in Spanish as well.
I have tutored Anatomy at the UWI to first year medical students and now continue to teach Spanish as a Get There tutor.
I am committed to understanding each student and presenting them with the tools necessary to fit their unique way of learning in order to achieve the best results.
