I grew up near San Francisco and lived in Egypt, Kuwait, and Colombia before moving to Jamaica three years ago. I went to undergrad at the University of California in Santa Barbara and to grad school at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. Originally I wanted to be a teacher, but then I got sidetracked by majoring in Middle East politics and working for the US House of Representatives. I love history and literature and do a lot of SAT tutoring. Years ago I passed several Advanced Placement tests but failed the AP Physics exam, which I am NOT bitter about. And I’m thrilled the other tutors are science geniuses because it means I will never have to tutor anyone in chemistry.
